Overseas Regions
If you have never participated in or ordered a CEMC competition before, you may be wondering how it works. Here’s what to expect:
After creating a CEMC school account, teachers register their students for the competition. (We offer paper-based, online, and hybrid competitions. For more information about the format and content of specific competitions, please click on our competition links.)
In the weeks leading up to the competition, all the materials teachers need to administer the contest are sent by mail or email.
On the official competition day, students sit down to write their exam under the supervision of a teacher or school staff member.
Except for the Gauss contests, schools return paper-based competitions to the center by courier for grading. *Online competitions are submitted automatically.
Once grading is complete, the results are sent to the contest supervisor.
Then it’s time to recognize and celebrate student participation! Where applicable, awards are given to top-performing students. High-achieving students may also appear on the annual Honour Roll or be eligible for additional prizes or recognition.
