INSTRUMENTWhat does the placement assessment measure?∎

Ten minutes to locate yourself on the gradient

The placement assessment is a short diagnostic that maps your current mathematics against the Euclid’s measured difficulty gradient — from the parts nearly everyone converts to the cliff where written arguments decide the marks. It is free, and the result gives the advisor something concrete to read instead of a guess.

Take it once, honestly, without notes — the reading is only as good as the sitting

TESTHow do you take it?∎
i.
Request the paper

Message the advisor on enterprise WeChat — the button below or the footer QR — and ask for the placement paper. It arrives as a short printable set.

ii.
Sit it properly

About ten minutes, timed, alone, no notes — the same discipline as the real paper. Send your answers back as written, including the unfinished ones.

iii.
Get the reading

The advisor marks it the Euclid way — step marks, not just answers — and reads the result back against the difficulty gradient, with a concrete next step.

SCOPEWhat does the assessment cover?∎

The questions sample the same ground the Euclid Mathematics Contest draws on — algebra and functions, geometry, trigonometry and logarithms, sequences, counting and number properties — arranged from school-level checks to contest-style reasoning. It is a sitting, not a study session: work it timed, alone, and without notes, exactly as the real paper is written. A flattering result from an open-book attempt only misleads the advisor who reads it.

READINGHow should you read your result?∎
i.
Below the middle

The climb — problems 1–8 territory — still leaks marks. Consolidate school algebra and geometry first; the world average (52.2 in 2026) is beaten on fundamentals, not tricks. A structured Sprint plan fits here.

ii.
Around the middle

The Distinction line (≈66 in 2026) is within reach — the gap is usually written-solution craft, not knowledge. Train full arguments on past papers and the official toolkits.

iii.
Comfortably above

Your campaign is problems 8–10, where world averages sink below 2 / 10. Timed past-paper sittings, linked multi-part arguments, and exactness discipline — the 80+ and 90+ writers’ regimen.

Whatever the number says, it is a starting coordinate, not a verdict — have an advisor read it with you →
